Episode 0: Introduction
Welcome to Richard's Be Far More! where leadership meets faith in a powerful intersection that can transform your life and influence.
Howdy. I'm Richard Mobley. Welcome to Be Far More!, where leadership meets faith in a powerful intersection that can transform your life and influence. I've walked the leadership path you're on — experiencing both the triumphs and the stumbles along the way. Now for over a decade, I've been privileged to help individuals and teams grow in their leadership abilities, but I'll be the first to admit that some of my most valuable lessons came from my own leadership mishaps!
My journey took on new meaning when I discovered the Hebrew word "Avodah," which teaches us that our work can be our worship. This profound concept helped me realize that whether I'm running a business, engaging in mission work, or serving in ministry, it's all sacred work when done with the right heart. Guided by Philippians 2:3-4, I believe true leadership isn't about impressing others or pursuing selfish interests — it's about humbly putting others first and genuinely investing in their growth and success.
I approach every leadership challenge through three essential filters: knowledge, experience, and Scripture. I'm excited to share these insights with you as we journey together toward becoming far more than we ever imagined possible.
The name Be Far More! springs from one of the most inspiring promises in Scripture: "God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us" (Ephesians 3:20-21, MSG). This verse captures the essence of what I believe about both leadership and faith — there's always room to grow, to expand, and to become more than we currently are.
Four to five times each week, we'll explore practical leadership principles through the three-fold lens of "Lead Yourself. Your Team. And Others." Whether you're a C-level executive, a young professional just starting your journey, a ministry leader, or someone who simply wants to make a positive impact (and isn't that all of us?), you'll find actionable insights here.
We believe that leadership isn't just about position — it's about influence. And since everyone influences someone, everyone is a leader in some capacity. Through discussions on mindset, attitude, personal growth, practical leadership skills, and more, we'll discover together how to align our leadership journey with our faith walk.
A quick note about faith and leadership: While my perspective is shaped by my Christian faith, this publication is for everyone — regardless of where you are on your faith journey, or even if faith isn't part of your journey at all. Good leadership principles are universal, and you'll find immense value in the practical insights, real-world experiences, and leadership wisdom shared here. When I reference Scripture or faith-based principles, it's not to pressure or convert, but to share wisdom that has stood the test of time. Think of it like this: if I discovered a fantastic restaurant, I'd tell you about it because I want you to enjoy a great meal — not to force you to eat there! So whether you're a person of faith, exploring faith, or simply interested in growing as a leader, you're welcome here. Our goal is to create an inclusive space where everyone can learn, grow, and Be Far More! than they imagined possible.
I invite you to make the most of this leadership journey we're starting together. Each post is designed to spark reflection and encourage action, so feel free to engage through comments and share posts that resonate with you — especially if you know someone who might benefit from the message.
While the publication will provide valuable insights on its own, leadership growth often accelerates through personal connection and guidance.
If you're curious about how coaching or mentoring might help you reach your leadership goals faster, I'm always happy to have a friendly, no-pressure conversation. You'll find a link to schedule a complimentary discovery call in most posts, or you can book one right now through this scheduling link.
Whether you choose to quietly read and reflect, actively engage in discussions, or explore one-on-one coaching, you're taking an important step toward becoming far more than you imagined possible.
Let's grow and Be Far More! together!
